Email statuses explanation

Find all the statistics about the delivered campaigns in “My campaigns” menu item, in each separate campaign. After the delivery is done the statistics starts to collect. But the stats data can be changed within 48 hours – it's the necessary time period for resending and analyzing the delivery results.

View the Common statistics of the single campaign and its delivery errors in the “Campaign statistics” tab that is available after choosing the necessary campaign from a list. Use “Search” string to find the campaign you need. Specify the filter options to for more target search.

Every campaign has got its status right after sending (for example, “sent”) that changes during the delivering and stats collecting.

All the collected statistics is displayed in 3 diagram types: campaign statistics, delivery statistics, and errors statistics. The reports are generated over every campaign you've sent and don't depend on the campaign type (test or no). Every diagram shows the percentage of sent, delivered email messages etc.

“Campaign statistics” diagram displays the percentage of sent and delivered and failed email messages.

  • “All” – denotes the number of recipients in the campaign mailing list that is taken for 100%.
  • “Sent” – denotes the total number of recipients the email messages were sent for. Theoretically it must be equal to 100%, but if its value is less there may be several reasons:
    • The delivery is still in sending;
    • The user has interrupted the delivery (stopped or canceled);
    • Some messages failed while delivering and now they are in the sending queue.
  • “Delivered” – denotes the number of recipients that received campaign email messages. If there are any delivery errors than their total value is less than 100%.
  • “Errors” – denotes the total number of recipients that didn't received the messages because of errors. More about errors find in "Errors statistics" diagram.

“Delivery statistics” diagram displays the percentage of delivered and read messages, also it shows the number of recipients that clicked the link or unsubscribed.

  • “Delivered” – denotes the total number of recipients' mail servers that received email messages. If there are some delivery errors the status value will be less than 100%. Find the errors and their reasons in "Errors statistics" diagram.
  • “Read” – denotes the total number of recipients that opened and read received email messages. The status value may be less than 100% because depends on recipients behavior.
  • “Read and clicked a link” – denotes the total number of recipients that opened, read the email and clicked a link in the email message. The status value may be less than 100% because depends on recipients behavior.
  • “Unsubscribed” – denotes the total number of recipients that unsubscribed form the campaign.

"Error statistics" diagram displays the percentage of errors that has occurred while campaign sending/delivering (for example, recipients email address doesn't exist, his/her inbox is full and so on).

  • “Temporary unavailable” Delivery has one or two failed tries, but continues. The last email sending failed due to reasons beyond service control – user's email server was unavailable or rejected the message.
  • “Address doesn't exist” The delivery failed because there is no such an email address on the current domain.
  • “Spam by server” It happens because the recipient's server rejected to receive the message considered it to be spam. Also this error can be displayed if the recipient's email address is blocked.
  • “Mailbox full” The recipient's mailbox is already full and can't receive new email messages. In this case email address becomes unavailable and the resending will be done in 3 days. After the secondary time inaccessibility the term of being unavailable increases for 1 day and up to 10 days.
  • “Marked spam by user” If the user sends any complaints his/her email address is automatically added to the list of constantly unavailable emails.
  • “Other reasons” The delivery failed due to other reasons, and there is no detailed information about them. It can happen because of incorrect recipient's mail server settings. If you doubt about the validity of the received status just contact our technical support.
  • “Domain name doesn't exist” The mentioned domain name doesn't exist and the delivery to the recipient's email address is impossible. Verify email addresses from mailing lists previously to avoid such mistakes.

There is a link "Show" near every status. It gives you an opportunity to review the addresses that corresponds to the chosen status in the current campaign.
